Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Pilates
The overall goal of Pilates is to make a toned body without adding bulk, while lengthening the muscles. Many individuals have found it improves their coordination and relieves stress.

Pilates focuses most on the "core," a group of muscles that is often ignored and underdeveloped, including the back and abdominal muscles. In the process, it improves posture and eases back pain.

Hatha Yoga
A blend of styles, our Hatha classes incorporate strength building, deep stretching and breathing to promote the flow of energy in the body and clear the mind for meditation. Hatha is translated as ha meaning "sun" and tha meaning "moon." This refers to the balance of masculine aspects, active, hot, sun - and feminine aspects, receptive, cool, moon, within all of us. Hatha yoga is a path toward uniting opposites and creating balance in body and mind. This class moves at a slower pace and is well suited for beginners.

Spinning/Group Cycling
